DESCRIPTION:Week 3- A Mug Full of CoilsJoin us for our "Friday Night Fun" pottery series\, where we explore different handbuilding techniques every week! Students who sign up for all 4 sessions will have their glazing fees waived. In session 3\, we will work with "coils". Around and around your coils will go upon a circular slab to create a mug. Each ring of coils needs to be "glued" together with slip to ensure that the mug does not leak. The coils themselves become the surface design of your mug. Then\, the handle will be made and applied using more coils and slip. Samples and ideas will be available\, and of course\, your own ideas are more than welcome! All levels are welcome to join\, ages 18+. The cost of this class includes 2 lbs. of clay. Additional clay is available for purchase. The cost of the firing fee and glazing fee depends on the size and shape of your project.
