DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States with this fun pottery project! Did you know that our National tree is the "Mighty Oak"? In this class\, the oak leaf will be used in the exploration of texture design. Students will use a rolling pin to press the image of the oak leaf into their clay. Once this is accomplished\, Linda will guide students on how to shape their clay into a spoon rest\, bowl\, or ornament by using a "slump mold" and carving tools. Just wait until you see what masterpiece your creativity and inner potter bring forth with the oak leaf. All levels are welcome to join\, ages 18+. The cost of this class includes 2 lbs. of clay. Additional clay is available for purchase. The cost of the firing fee and glazing fee depends on the size and shape of your project.
