DESCRIPTION:Week 3- Bowls\, bowls\, bowls!Join us for our "Wednesday Wheel Night" pottery series\, where we explore different techniques on the wheel every week! Sign up for one session or all four. Students who sign up for all 4 sessions will have their glazing fees waived. In session 3\, you will learn how to make a bowl on the wheel. Whether it is an ice cream bowl or a large serving bowl you are envisioning\, the steps are basically the same. Linda will show you how to take your centered ball of clay and flatten it into a disc. For this class\, the "opening" step becomes more important than in the previous classes because you will be pulling a larger amount of clay to the sides. Then\, you will actually not be pulling the clay straight up Why\, you ask? Well\, you'll have to sign up for the class to find out! All levels are welcome to join\, ages 18+. The cost of this class includes 2 lbs. of clay. Additional clay is available for purchase. The cost of the firing fee and glazing fee depends on the size and shape of your project.
