DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fungi-focused fiber art workshop! In this hands-on intro to the wet felting process\, we'll transform fluffy wool fibers into small mushrooms. Unlike needle felting\, this process does not use any sharp tools. Instead\, wet felting uses warm water & soap to lock loose fibers together into solid felted fabric. No prior skills required\, project is fun for beginner & experienced artists alike. All materials included. Instructor Christin Lersch will guide you through the process of designing and sculpting loose wool roving to make your own custom 3-D mushroom shape\, complete with soft mossy details. You'll leave with new skills and your own handmade one of a kind wool felted mushroom.This workshop is intended for adults and teens accompanied by an adult. Your ticket for this workshop also covers your entrance fee for our Myco Mania event.
