Opening Reception for "Chris McEvoy: Testing Ground"
Chris McEvoy, an associate professor of art at the State University of New York at Oswego, will open an exhibit at ArtSpace36 in downtown Canandaigua on Thursday, Feb. 16.
An opening reception and artist talk for "Chris McEvoy: Testing Ground" is scheduled for Feb. 16 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The exhibit runs through March 24. Gallery hours are Thursday through Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. The gallery is located at 36 S. Main St., just south of the Canandaigua City Hall.
McEvoy, an Auburn resident, received his master of fine arts degree in painting from Boston University. Following graduate school, he spent a year as the Starr Scholar at the Royal Academy of Art in London. McEvoy has shown his work in various regional, national, and international group and solo exhibitions.
