Wild Walk: Winter Hiking & Safety

Explore winter ecology topics through walks, talks, and family-friendly activities alongside one of our expert educators! Winter hiking has a unique beauty and sense of quiet, but winter is a time of year when you must be prepared in the woods. Together, we will go on a winter hike while discussing ways to stay safe during our coldest season! Wear a coat, hat, gloves, and waterproof boots. If the snow is deep, you might want to consider renting snowshoes (inside the nature center for $5 a person) or bringing your own. This Wild Walk is for all ages (family friendly) and is led by CNC Educator and Winter Backpacker Lann.
