Grounds & Maintenance Technician

Location: On-site at Vermi Green, Palmyra, NY

    Vermi Green is looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented person to help us keep our facility and grounds running at their best. This role is hands-on and outdoors, perfect for someone who enjoys working with equipment, taking pride in well-kept landscapes, and being part of a team that values efficiency and craftsmanship.

What You’ll Do:

• Keep our grounds sharp: mowing, trimming, mulching, weeding, leaf cleanup, and general repairs.

• Maintain a clean and organized workshop and facility.

• Care for equipment with routine maintenance—washing, greasing, and minor repairs to keep things running smoothly.

• Pitch in on projects with the crew to maximize productivity.

• Tackle maintenance requests quickly so the team stays on track.

• Take on extra tasks that support the flow of our business.

Schedule & Pay:

• Monday through Friday

• 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Day shift)

• $18/hour, based on experience

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong mechanical know-how (maintenance or landscaping background is a big plus).

• Experience in mowing, mulching, and general grounds care.

• Independent worker who can also thrive on a team.

• Self-motivated and detail-focused problem solver.

• Good communicator who works well with management and peers.

• Flexible with hours during peak seasonal needs.
