Machine Operator

Pay: $20-25/ hr, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30AM–4:00PM (day shift)

• Seasonal overtime availability
• Year round work

Vermi-Green LLC is a locally owned materials producer looking for a reliable machine operator to support daily production.

This role focuses on operating loaders and related equipment to move, screen, and load materials efficiently and safely. If you’re looking for steady hours, well-maintained equipment, and a crew that takes safety and organization seriously, this is a solid place to land.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Operate front-end loaders, skid steers, excavators, and similar equipment
• Load and move materials such as compost, topsoil, stone, sand, etc.
• Screen, stockpile, and prepare materials for trucks and customers
• Perform routine operator-level maintenance (greasing, cleaning, basic checks)
• Monitor equipment performance and report issues early
• Work with the production team to keep operations running smoothly and on schedule

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of experience operating loaders or similar heavy equipment (skid steer, excavator, etc.)
• Strong understanding of safe equipment operation and jobsite awareness
• Ability to recognize equipment or production issues before they become problems
• Dependable, team-oriented, and able to follow instructions
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Familiarity with aggregate, soil, compost, or material handling operations
• Valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation
