The Western Region Health Emergency Preparedness Coalition (WRHEPC) and the University of Rochester, Western Region Health Emergency Preparedness Training Center (UR-WRHTC) is excited to announce a critical training opportunity: PER-375: Surviving an Active Threat: Run. Hide. Fight. This course is instructed by the LSU NCBRT/Academy of Counter-Terrorist Education, a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) certified program, and offers vital skills for navigating active threat incidents.

Course Summary: This one-day course focuses on the "Run. Hide. Fight." response paradigm, guiding non-traditional first responders on how to effectively employ these methods. Given that active threat incidents can occur anywhere, participants are encouraged to apply the principles learned to their specific workplace plans and procedures. The curriculum covers the fundamental aspects of this response paradigm in the context of an active threat.
