Plein Air in the Finger Lakes with George Van Hook

Saturday & Sunday, August 8 & 9 9am-3pm

Join George Van Hook, the Judge of our Juried Show, for a plein air retreat at Sunny Point! Participants will spend two days painting the beautiful Keuka Lake region from our lakefront property. Students are encouraged to arrive at Sunny Point a few minutes before 9am with their materials. George will begin each day with a demonstration, followed by a group painting session with plenty of individual guidance. There will be a break for lunch around 12pm, followed by another demonstration and an afternoon of painting. Demonstrations will be in both oils and watercolors. At the end of the second day there will be a guided group critique. This workshop is suitable for all levels ages 15+, but some experience is encouraged.
