In 1816, Quaker community built a meetinghouse in western New York and from that vantage point they welcomed, witnessed, and led, the great reform movements of the 19th century.. This Meetinghouse represents the confluence of movements for equal rights and social justice for all people, including African Americans, Native Americans, and women. The 1816 Farmington Quaker meeting House Museum works today to recognize, share, and educate about the important work accomplished within these walls.
