Co-sponsored with Ontario Historical Society, the event will take place at Austin Steward’s grave, West Avenue Cemetery, 100 West Ave., Canandaigua, with Preston Pierce, Ontario County Historian; Chester Freeman, who arranged historic marker for Steward; Robin Nowell from AKWAABA, appearing as her ancestor Nancy Tolliver; and members of Rochester Women's Community Chorus commemorating the end of slavery in the British Empire.
