Seneca Sounds offers something for art lovers of all kinds. The musical lineup is a showcase of the region’s talent, with acts spanning funk, jam, Americana, and electronic sounds. This year’s performers include The Comb Down, Afrobeta, New Planets, Public Water Supply, Galactic Dolphin Alliance (GDA), Shrimps, Briana Horton, and DJ Gourd.
Families can spend time in the dedicated Kids’ Corner, with activities presented by the Dove Block Project and the Boys & Girls Club. Guests can browse work from local artists including Finger Lakes Film Festival, North Ferry Hats, Slippery When Waxed, and enjoy a fire dancing performance after dark!
This inaugural celebration is made possible by the collective enthusiasm and financial support of its nonprofit partners, Geneva Local Development Corporation and Geneva Community Projects, the regional music, arts, makers and food communities, and The Cracker Factory. With festivalgoers embracing it as their own, Seneca Sounds will become a tentpole of the Finger Lakes events calendar and a point of pride for Geneva. Affordable ticket pricing is central to the festival’s goal of creating an event that is welcoming and accessible to families and anyone looking to experience something new.
Festival organizers Lindsey Dean and Ella Skinner have been building momentum with Seneca Sessions, a series of free concerts highlighting regional artists. Their fourth and final installment, featuring The Cool Club + The Lipker Sisters at The Cracker Factory on August 21, will serve as a fundraiser for Seneca Sounds.
Doors open at 3pm with performances and activities continuing until 11pm. Kids’ Corner will be open 3-7pm. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Tickets, the full festival schedule, and additional event information are available at senecasounds.com.
