LPN
Position Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for patient health care, safety and maintenance, reviewing and following nursing care plans, and maintaining timely and accurate medical records.
LPN basic rate: $28/Hr
***Rates may vary per location/contract/per diem/travel/Shift urgency***
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide skilled nursing care under the direct supervision of the clinical supervisor, Registered Nurse.
- Complete tasks including vital signs, Blood sugar finger sticks, IV administration/maintenance, dressing changes, Lab draws, and medication administration via various routes per the 7 Rights to Medication Administration.
- Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other individuals in the client's care plan Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patient's conditions by notifying the direct RN/Supervisor.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing care
- Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments
- Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity •Engage in research activities related to nursing
- Perform other duties as assigned
• Diploma/Degree from an Accredited school of Nursing
• Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state(s) practicing • One year of LPN experience in the field applying for Current AHA BLS/AED certification required
• Strong interpersonal skills that build personal rapport and establish trust with the patient, family and medical team.
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job (ex: lifting 50 pounds, long hours standing)
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
